In accordance with the instructions of our Bishop Paul Hinder, all Wednesdays during Lent should be observed as days of abstinence.
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of Fast & Abstinence. Kindly abide by the same.

"My Sacrifices for Lent"
Please take home the brown envelopes "My Sacrifices for Lent" which are placed near the church entrance. These envelopes containing your 'Lenten Sacrifices' may be returned during Lent or on Good Friday.
Retreat in Malayalam will be preached by Fr Joseph Puthenpurackal OFM, Cap from Monday 8 March to Thursday 11 March 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm.
Retreat in Konkani will be preached by Fr Gabriel from Monday 22 March to Thursday 25 March 7.30 pm to 9 pm.
MONDAY 8 MARCH 2010:
Wedding anniversary mass at 8.00 p.m. for couples celebrating their wedding anniversary during the month of March. Advance registration at the sacristy.
FRIDAY 12 MARCH 2010:
Baptism seminar in the Mini Hall from 8.30 am to 10.00 am. Parents to be and God parents must attend this seminar.
World Youth Day Celebrations:
The Catholic Church worldwide will be celebrating the 25th World Youth Day on Palm Sunday this year. However, we at St. Mary's Church Dubai will host the event on Saturday 27 March 2010 for youth and young adults aged 15 years to 35 years from the parishes of Dubai, Jebel Ali and Sharjah.
Registration is open for interested participants; registration forms can be downloaded from the church website (click here) or can be obtained from the parish office. Members of parish youth groups may please register through their respective Group Leaders.
As the seats are limited, registrations will be accepted on a 'first come first served' basis and will be closed either on 15th March 2010 or when the required number of participants are registered.
ST MARY'S CHURCH VOLUNTEERS SODALITY:
Parishioners who are willing to serve with humility and have good leadership qualities are invited to join St Mary's Volunteers Sodality in order to assist in the various parish activities including the forthcoming Good Friday and Easter liturgical celebrations. Existing volunteers and new volunteers may please register at the sacristy before Sunday 14 March 2010. Selected new volunteers will be notified by telephone to attend a general meeting on Friday 19 March 2010 in the Mini Hall at 7.15 pm, together wtih the existing volunteers.
HOLY LAND PILGRIMAGE:
A Pilgrimage to the Holy Land has been jointly organised by St Mary's Church Dubai and the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary Doha from 20 May to 1 June 2010 (11 nights 12 days). For more information and registration please contact the Parish Priest's Office.
JUMBLE SALE:
To meet the expenses in organizing the World Youth Day 2010 celebration in Dubai, the youth of the parish are arranging a jumble sale in the Church compound on Friday 5 March and Friday 12 March from 9 am to 1 pm. Parishioners support is requested.
PROPOSED CANDIDATES AS LAY MINISTERS:
The names and photos of the proposed candidates of new Lay Ministers are displayed in the Church notice board. Should anybody has any valid objection, please report to the parish priest before 25 March 2010.
